About Blog and Forum Lists
These lists are the backbone of link building and SEO campaigns. These are lists of sites that have blogs or forums that you can post to and get site backlinks. Some people use specialized software to get their links out to these types of sites, while others do their backlinking manually. Since a large driving force behind link building is contextual links, meaning links that are relevant to your site, you want to ensure any list you are using is based on your keywords or keyword sets.

Page Rank Paradox
When you go to some websites and buy lists, you are bound to find a large list someone is selling where they will show how many Page Rank links are in their lists. The problem you encounter here is that Google's Panda has devaluated so many sites recently, and from the looks of what Google is telling us, this isn't going to change anytime soon. So a link you buy in a list like this today may start as a Page Rank 6 and next month it is a Page Rank 1. So gauging Page Rank in lists like this is very hard.
The Auto Approve Nightmare
If you have a look around the web, you will not find many SEO list sellers who sell auto approve lists. Wonder why that is? Well to be truthful about it, it is a tough sell to back up. Everyday sites, forums, and blogs are being abused by the link building community. I am sure you have seen blogs with 10,000 comments on it, well that is the exact reason. People find a blog that has a nice page rank that is auto approved for comments and then they abuse it to the point of Google walking in with the Page Rank bat and knocking it down. All this does is make the administrator of the blog or site mad, and then they turn off auto approve commenting. More and more blogs are going to moderated or no comments at all due to the exploitation.
So based on the above, list sellers have a very hard time with selling auto approve lists. Daily these sites are changing and daily these sites are disapearing altogether. So sellers have a hard time maintaining clients when they make guarantees about auto approve lists. There are some lists out on the web that claim to be an auto approve list. We tested one of these lists, and here are our findings:

625,712 Links were from duplicate domains
25,623 Links were blogs without comments allowed
10,423 Links had Captcha on them
Of the 67,671 links that were left, we found that only 700 were auto approved
Of those 700 only 5 were Page rank 1+
Which means either that list was old and was a rehash of some old links or the person put the list up knowing exactly what it was, and therefore was wasting peoples time. Now maybe the people who are downloading these lists are just flat out lazy, we aren't sure; because we build our own lists based on our own set of parameters.
Do not buy into any list that advertises the list to be an auto approve list unless you have a mechanism to get your money back. Most people who you do not do regular business with will not be as forthcoming with a refund on items like this. They will say you got the list and the reason it is not returning the results you wanted is your software is not compatible, or your not running dedicated proxies, and who knows what other excuses they will use. Be smart with your money, find the right people to do business with, and ensure that you are not falling into the sucker trap many fall into every day. The web changes every moment of every day, it is very hard to make guarantees on something that someone else controls.
How We Build Lists
- We take your keyword or keywords and run them through software that pulls hundreds and even thousands of relevant keywords based on your original keywords;
- We take those keywords and we use those with custom script labels and scan the internet based on our internal parameters. At this point our scripts are looking for any site, domain, or page that has any relevance to the list of keywords and could be a blog or forum.
- We normally come out of #2 with a million pages, at which time we begin eliminating pages
- We then run another scan on only those sites we just found for:
- Postable (open comments)
- Security (spam protection)
- Blog Site (is it really a site)
- Once we have this list, which is substantially smaller than the million we started with, we go over the list again multiple times to determine if there is any malware on the site. Now we recommend that you use a firewall and an antivirus program when posting to these sites. We cannot find or catch all of the malware on these pages, but we catch a vast majority of them. Please make sure that you protect yourself and your machine when going through these links, nothing is 100%!
- At this point the list is ready for delivery.
Time To Complete
Now this can take 2 days or it can take 10, it is very hard to tell with the complexity of the list. What we do is use the worst case scenario which is 10 days for delivery. In most cases these lists are done within 3-4 days, however, we prefer to protect our clients and give them the best information available. So sometimes it does take a few extra days. We ask that you be patient with us, because anything we do after we have our master list is for your benefit and to save you time. If we handed a list to our clients that was 1,000,000 links and half of them were garbage; most of our clients would be upset with us. We have scripts and software that can clean these lists in days for what would take a human months to clean.
Our Pricing
We also base our pricing on the number of good blog or forum links we can produce. Buying a list of blogs that has a bunch of links that aren't blogs would again be very bad for business. We are not interested in handing you garbage; we want to be as thorough as possible with our client's lists.
Now you are going to find a portion of every list that is not postable, and without a human checking every single list it is impossible to actually assure there is ONLY blogs in the list. However, we spend days checking and rechecking the list to ensure the highest quality. We don't want to sell you a 700,000 blog list that is only going to yield 700 links; if that was the case our clients can just purchase 700 backlinks (which will be substantially less than the 700,000 blog list!)
